- What is it? It's an auction of new
merchandise and services over Radio Station WVBP on Saturday,
April 5, 2008, from 8:00
a.m. until all items are sold.
- What for? All net proceeds for the benefit
of Beaver County Rotary Clubs projects.
- Where do the items come from? From
merchants, professionals, businesses, manufacturers and individuals who participate as
advertisers.
- What do you get out of it? Plenty of
publicity and special promotion. Every time YOUR item is mentioned on WVBP, YOUR
NAME will be mentioned and will also be published in a supplement to the Beaver County
Times. In addition, your item will be listed on the internet at www.beavercounty.com.
The greater the retail value of the item you provide, the greater the advertising
value you will receive. Also, the value of the item is a deductible advertising
expense.
- Do the Rotary clubs pick up these items?
No, the items stay at your place of business for DISPLAY. Rotary will provide a special
auction poster to be posted in a conspicuous location in your place of business,
indicating your participation as an advertiser in this worthwhile endeavor.
- How can I get into it? Decide what you
would like to promote then when the Rotarian calls on you, just sign up for the
advertising and we will do the rest. If you are donating a Series EE Savings Bond, please MAKE
CHECK PAYABLE TO THE ROTARY AUCTION and INCLUDE the CHECK with the
MERCHANDISE CERTIFICATE. Please email us if you would like a Rotarian to contact you
or if you have any questions.

Suppose nobody bids on my item, or
someone fails to pick up his certificate? If the successful bidder fails to
redeem their purchase, you can put the merchandise offered back into stock. You will
have received the advertising absolutely free.
Is there any outsider or
professional fund raiser involved in this auction? Absolutely not
- this whole event is being produced entirely by the Rotary Clubs of Beaver County with
valued cooperation of Radio Station WVBP, the Beaver County Times and BeaverCounty.com.
How will the internet site work?
