| WHAT IS ROTARY? |
- Rotary is an organization of business and
professional men and women worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high
ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world.
- More than 1,000,000 service minded leaders
belonging to more than 27,000 Rotary Clubs in 187 countries and geographic areas.
- Service to youth through support for
schools, scouts and other youth organizations through counseling programs.
- Service to the disabled through medical
treatment, rehabilitation training, workshops and recreational opportunities.
- Vocational service by promoting high ethical
and vocational standards in the business and professional world.
- Youth Exchange - a program that annually
sends more than 8,000 young people of secondary age abroad for a school year or a summer
program.
- Rotary supports the Polio Plus Program by
donating millions of dollars worldwide to eradicate the dreaded disease polio.
- Rotary Foundation, established in 1917, is
spending $70 million annually to promote international understanding through educational
and humanitarian programs.
- Awards annually 1,000 international
scholarships and international exchange awards to approximately 2,500 young professional
and business people.

- Supports many service projects throughout
